As with all our outdoor programs the survival camp has critical curricular links. Students embark on a ‘Survivor’ type adventure, based on Stradbroke Island. ‘Marooned’ on a dessert island for three days with no phone reception and nowhere to hide puts students in a challenging and real-life learning environment in which to explore who they are and how they fit into the group.
Activities include, bushwalking, swimming, initiative activities, team building exercises, personal development workshops, survivor tasks and sleep-outs. All activities are fully staffed by both qualified RSG staff and qualified staff hired to run individual activities. This range of educational activities will give students the opportunity to learn greater self-confidence, motivation, initiative, self-awareness and appreciation for their lives and the people that support them.
We know this is a life changing decision for your child and we would love to help address your questions.
